The Harbour Board's magazine hulk Cloud was floated out- of the Auckland Dock yesterday, and berthed at the Queen-street Wharf, where her fitting out will be completed. The Northern Company's steamer Wellington arrived from Whangarei last evening with passengers and general cargo, and leaves for the same place again to-night. Last night the Northern Company's steamer Muritai arrived from Mercury Bay, Kuaotunu, and Kennedy's Bay, and leaves at 12 o'clock to-night for the Great Barrier. Yesterday afternoon the Union Company's steamer Talune left for East Coast and Southern ports. Th? Union Company's steamer Taieri left for Westport last evening, and loads coal back to Auckland. H.M.s. Mildura arrived at Port Chalmers from Lyttelton yesterday, and is expected to return to Lyttelton about November 8. THE MARIPOSA. Tho American mail steamer Mariposa is due this morning from San Francisco. Honolulu, and Apia, and proceeds on to Sydney a few hours after arrival. THE TAVIUNI. The Union Company's steamei Taviuni is due from Fiji to-morrow, and leaves for Wellington on Friday. NEW SUBMARINE BOAT. PARIS, October 23.—The submarine boat Narval has been launched at Cherbourg. THE ZEALANDIA The Iluddart-Parker steamer Zealandia left Lyttelton for the North yesterday, and is due at Auckland on Saturday morning, and proceeds on to Sydney the same afternoon. A special advertisement in connec- ; tion with tile Zealandia will be found in another part of this issue. THE WESTRALIA. As the Hnddart-Parker steamer Westralia will be docked for cleaning and painting at Sydney this trip, she will not leave that port for Auckland until to-morrow evening, and is expected to arrive on Monday night next. THE STANLEY. The steamers Akaroa and Waitoa arrived from Red Mercury Island yesterday morning with the wrecked brigantine Stanley in tow. The steamers left the island on Saturday last, and those on board had a somewhat anxious time of it coming along with tho wreck, and all engaged In the work are to be complimented upon the success which has attended their efforts. The Stanley was anchored off Messrs. Parker, Lamb, and Co.'s mills, near Freeman's Bay, and the work of getting the timber out of her will be proceeded with at once. The vessel is a complete w<d£k, and will have to be broken up as soon, as the cargo has been discharged. X ~ -J?HE NORTH GERMAN LLOYD LINE. " The Norddeutsclier Lloyd will be by far the largest individual steamship company in the world when steamers which are building and about to leave the stocks are added to their fleet. The new steamers are two huge freight steamers, building in England. Messrs. Wigiiam, Richardson, and Co., of Newcastle, are completing the twin-screw steamer Hannover, of 7500 tons register, to be followed by a similar steamer. In Germany the company arc building at the Vulcan works, Stettin, a new Atlantic greyhound, of 14,000 tons register, with a speed of from 23 to 24 Knots, and two fast passenger steamers Konig Albert and Princess Irene, of 10,500 tons each, for the Eastern line. F. Scliichau, of Danzig, is building for this company the Grosser Kurfurst, of 12,500 tons, for the Australian service. and Messrs. Blohm and Voss, of Hamburg, have launched the Rhein and Main, s' both of 10,500 tons, and expected in these •waters in March and April respectively. At J. C. Tecldenberg's works the Necltar, of 10,000 tons, Koln and Frankfurt, of 7500 tons each, are being built. On the stocks of the Bremen Vulcan works, in Vegesack, the steamers Strassburg and Wuerzburg, of 5000 tons each, are being built, and on the Weser tho Deli, of 1200 tons, and a large tender, the Undine, for the N.D.L. passenger service in Gibraltar.
