'/ HAD A TERRIBLE COUGH" "WHICH CAUSED BLEEDING FROM THE LUNGS." Or all the remedies employed to overcome Hie tendencies toward consumption, the most effectual is Scott's Emulsion. For half-a-eenlury cod liver oil has held the lead over all other remedial agents in the treatment 'if chronic throat and lung complaints, and for twenty-five years Scott's Emulsion has been considered the most effectual and the easiest form in which to take this oil. Here is the case of a. gentleman who was suffering from a chronic cough and bleeding from the lungs. He says:- " 95, Pickering Road, "Parkwood Springs, Sheffield, England, " September 7, 1898." "Dear Sirs,—About five years ago I had a severe attack of influenza, which left me with a weak chest. During that time I had to stay away from work many times, owing to weakness. I had a terrible cough, which caused bleeding from the lungs. This becamo so serious that in March, 1897, I was obliged to stay at home. At this time I was almost too'weak to move, and was confined to bed. Little food 1 took could be retained, owing to sickness. No medicine of any kind ever gave ine much relief, and I was slowly wasting away. I continued in this state for about fourteen months. One of my friends happened to read about Scott's Emulsion, and sent for a bottlo, in order that I might give it a trial. I did so, and began to feel somewhat better. I continued taking it, and in a short time was able to walk about, and am now able to work. The change it made was wonderful, and I do not think I shall be wrong in saying I owe my life to its use. " Believe me, gratefully yours, " (Signed) ARTHUR PALMER." Scott's Emulsion is perfectly palatable, and the merit of its formula is acknowledged by the entire medical profession throughout the world. It contains cod liver oil, glycerine, and hypophosphites, and its perfectly emulsified form makes it of decided advantage in cases wliere plain cod liver oil is out of the question. We recommend this preparation to the use of anybody who stands in any danger of trouble will the lungs, or who manifests any wasting tendency.
