THE REGISTRATION OFFICE.
TO THE EDITOR.
Sir,— would call your attention to an existing hitch in connection with tho Registrar of Electors' office. Under the present arrangements this office is closed between tho hours of one and two daily. As you aro quite aware, the greater portion of those employed in the city having this hour for luncheon, and being the only time at their disposal during tho day, transact any business that they may have, as in my case. In reply to a notice forwarded mo, I have called some three or four times at tho Registrar's office between one and two, only to find the office closed, and as I am unable to call there at any other time during the day, I am still without my electoral rights. Surely some arrangement could be made in tho staff of this office, so as to divide the luncheon hour (as is usual in the retail business houses of the city), and which I am sure would bo more satisfactory to all concerned. I would point out that I am not alone in this complaint, several of my friends having been similarly inconvenienced.— am, etc., Herbert Townshexd.
