THE ELECTIONS.
I TO THE EDITOR. Sir,—As tho election is very near now, trill you allow me to point out to tho people of the colony that the British people have obeyed the swing of tho pendulum in tho elections of recent years, as they have found that better government has resulted from % Conservatives and Liberals being alterlately in power. I hope the population hero j ?ill imitate the British in this mode of votj ! n Ei and return tho Conservatives by sweep"ig majorities. The Conservatives liaVQ dono a ' great and good work hero in Opposition, a 'd I feel sure they will govern for tho il'cople, and carry out the people's programme, i J' is not healthy for New Zealand to j have an autocratic Premier like Mr. Seddon. i! I hope the tide has turned in the Conserva- ; tive direction, even now.—l am, etc., 6. Herbert De.nnison, ,
