Dewey and Ballistite led into the straight, and after a splendid struggle, the former won by half a-length. Time, 2m. 27^3. BETTING NOTES. The Rock, Sentinel, and Gnullo have been supported for the Caulfield Cup to win £1000 each at 100 to 3. The Sydney-owned pair, April Fool and Voyou, disgraced themselves yesterday in a suburban race by finishing last. According to information received in Auckland, the B,s. Zealandia, which leaves Napier to-day for Lyttelton, will convey 10 horses engaged at the.C.J.O. meeting. Messrs. Nathan's trio, Explosion, Rosella, and Beddington, and Major George'? pair, Seahorse and Laborer, are amongst the number for whom space has been engaged on board the Zealandia.
