FIGHT NEAR KIMBERLEY.

FIVE BOERS KILLED AND SEVEN WOUNDED. Capetown, October 18, _ The British force defending Kimberley have asked for assistance, in consequence of the increasing strength of the Boer forces in that locality. An armoured train was reconnoitering at Spytfontein, a few miles south of Kimberley, and was attacked by Boers. The Boers had five of their number killed and seven wounded. The party in charge of the train escaped unhurt.
