SATURDAY'S ARRANGEMENTS. The weekly meeting of the Auckland Rugby Union's Management Committee was .held at the rooms of (he Amateur Sports Club last evening, Mr. T. Henderson, chairman of committee, presiding. Communications from a number of Southern unions, including Wanganui, Wert Coast, South Canterbury, and oilier centres, asking that they should be included iu lite matches to be played by the Auckland representative team on tour, were received, bui as time would not permit of extending the tour it was decided to inform the several applicants hat the union regretted their inability to accede ,'n Ihp request. WAIPA RUGBY UNION. I Tho annual meeting of the above was held i at To Awamutu on Saturday. The follow- ! in? clubs were represented:— Awamutu, ' Paterangi, Kihikihi, Otorohanga, and Pirongia. Mr. Rvburn presided. The secretary, in his report, stated that the union was formed in April, 1698, and during the season embraced four clubs. Two rounds of cup ; ! matches had been played, Te Awamutu win- | ning the championship. The total receipts 1 , during the past season amounted to £7 14s 3d, and the expenditure to a like sum. The sum of £6 was allowed to To Awamutu for the purchase of caps, which have been procured and presented. Two inter-union matches had been played, one with Rotorua, ! at Rotorua, and the oilier against Waikato at I Hamilton. Both matches were lost. The ' union was not put to any expense over either | of these matches; the players paid their own : expenses. The following officers were elected • for the ensuing President, Mr. P. 1 O'Connor; vice-presidents, Messrs. F. W. I Lang. M.H.R., W. Taylor, F. C. Germann, G. McKinder, T. W. Ellis, W. Macky, and C. A. Bowden; secretary and treasurer, Mr. D. Bockett (re-elected) committee, Messrs. C. Bowden, W. Riramer. J. Rvburn. T. C. Macky, B. Forde, M. Cawley," Walker, F. Coi'boy, G. Miles, and H. Bell. The annual club subscription was fixed at £2. It was decided to affiliate with the Auckland Rugby Union. The following fixtures were arranged for the first round of cup matches: —May 20: Te Awamutu v. Pirongia, at To Awamutu; Kihikihi v. Otorohanga, at Otorohanga; Paterangi a bye. May 27: Te Awamutu v.
