At .i meeting of the Dairy Kegulutions Committee, Mr. (iilruth, the Government expert, declared thai tome cows which had como under his notico near Wellington, not only suffered from tuberculosis, hut cancer also, and must have been in a had state for some lime. Yet milk from tfiese animals had been sent Id Wellington. Ho advocated that the important work of the inspection of dairy fittln should hr dono l>y an expert. After some discussion a motion to adopt the Dairy Industry Act was rejected. Thereforo the committee continues in oxistonco.
