Melbourne, May 9. i The Chamber of Commerce lias adopted a resolution expressing extreme regret at tha decision of tile Imperial Government in re- 1 gard to the Pacific cable, and st.'ongly urging the necessity of the cable. VICTORIAN EXPORTS. Melbourne, May 9. The value of butter exported from the colony during the past season, was £670,000,' being a decrease of £272,000, as compared with the previous season. It is estimated that the drought of the last four years affected the butter exports to the extent of £1.000,000. The total value of perishable products exported during the past season wag £1,013,000. THE TRANSVAAL ANDERS. Adelaide, May 9. The Mayor lias received a letter from tha Imperial South African Association, asking' him to co-operate with the Mayor of Sydney in arranging a public meeting to ventilate the grievances of the Transvaal uitlanders.
