BARRIER REEFS G.M. CO.

The manager of the Barrier Reefs mine reports, under Thursday's date, that good quartz is showing in the faces of both the cast and west drift. The face of the east drift is in 206 ft. The west drift is in 117 ft. The quartz is 3ft wide in west end, and 18in in east end. Tho new waggon road is nearly finished from the battery site to the summit. From thence on to Whangaparapara Harbour, contracts have been let for most of the rood. Contracts call for the completion of the road in six months.
