ROMAN CATHOLIC SYNOD.
BISHOP LENIHAN TO GO TO ROME, [BT TELEGRAPH -rRESS ASSOCIATION,] Wellington. Friday. Thk Roman Catholic Synod will finish its deliberations on Sunday. The Synod's decrees have to be ratified by the Pope before thev come into force. Both Bishops Verdon'and Lenihan will shortly go to Europe, and the latter will probably have the decrees entrusted to him for presentation to the Pope.
