[HI mEGBAFH.— CORRESPONDENT. Coromaxdel, Friday. NEW HAUBAKI NORTH. The new shaft is down 70ft, and has been timbered throughout. The country now being penetrated is of a kindly description for gold, and is highly mineralised. The general manager (Mr, James McCormick) expresses confidence id cutting the reef with about another 10ft of sinking. busker's hill. General satisfaction is expressed that the continuance of operations on the new find should give such excellent results, for, from time to time, rich ore may be expected to bo produced.. _.. Thames, Friday. NEW WHAU. Mr. John Bowler and party have taken the upper portion of the Coliban section of this company's property on tribute, and will commence operations in a few days. MAT QUEEN HAUBAXI. Comer and party, who arc working the Cardigan' No. 2 reef on tribute, in the Saxon section, completed another very satisfactory crushing to-day, but the exact return not been made public. It is understood, however, that the return of gold obtained will give the men a little more than ordinary wages.
