FEDERATION OF TRADES.

A fire which occurred in Colston Hall, Bristol, during the progress of the Trades' Union Congress last year en* tailed the adjournment of the discussion on the proposal for establishing a federation of trades. A special meeting of Congress convened for the pur-> pose of carrying on this discussion is now being held at Manchester. The Congress has decided in favour of » national federation of trades.
