A programme ol snorts was orepared. and as valuable prizes were offered, the competitors were numerous, and the leading events closely contested. The principal events wore;— college championship, won bv W. Dervan; the collcee handicap, for which 0. Sheathe nndVT. Sullivan tied: 100 yds, won by Dervan: the hurdle race. I). Mahoney, and the walking match, P. Burke. At the distribution of the prizes the Rev. Father Croke presided. He took advantage of the occasion to congratulate the winners of the different everts, to speak in laudatory terms of the work done by the boys in class, of '.heii application and progress, and to advise them as to how thev could spend their vacation so that it may be productive alike of pleasure and profit. Three hearty cheer* for the Rev. Father Croke, and three for the Brothers, brought the proceedings to a close.
