The death of a single woman, Sophia Hunter by name, aged 31, and living alone was reported yesterday morning by Constable Finnerty, of the Freeman's Bay police station. The door of the deceased's house was open, when James Leslie, a neighbour, saw her sitting on the side of her bed, apparently dead, and he at once reported the occurrence to the police. Dr. Bay tun had attended the deceased lately, and will give a, certificate of death, the coroner (Dr. Phil- | son) has therefore decided that it will not be necessary to hold an inquest
