[ni TKLF.GRAPTI.—OWN CORRESPONDENT.] Thames. Monday. In' the Stipendiary Magistrate's Court today, George Stevens sued John Sainsbury, of Whangamata, for £38 10s 3d, moneys alleged to be due to bin for services rendered as an accountant. After the hearing of the evidence the plaintiff was non-suited. A man named James Clune was charged at the Police Court to-day with having escaped from custody at Table Mountain, on March 28 last, whilst under arrest on a warrant of committal. Sergeant Gillies conducted the prosecution, and Mr. E. Clendon appeared for accused. The defence was a denial of having been arrested. After hearing tile evidence Mr. Bush reserved his decision until to-morrow afternoon.
The congregation of St. Francis' Church, have, decided to make additions to the presbytery to the cost of £189 15s, and of this stun the Very Rev. Father O'Reilly lias very generously contributed £100.
