LOAN, THE BANK OP NEW ZEALAND. as Agent! for the Lyttelton Harbour Board, are pre pared to receive Tenders at Cliristchurch up to 3 p.m. on MONDAY, the 21st November 1898, for the debentures of the abovenamec Board for the sum of £30,000. being the first instalment of a loan of £60,000 authorised by section 4 of the Lyttelton Harbour Boart Loan Act, 1897. The principal and interest of this Loan are secured upon the Harbour Fund of the Lytteiton Harbour Board, subject to existing charges. The debentures are for £100 each, payable on the Ist July, 1929, with coupons attached for payment half-yearly on the Ist January, and Ist July in each year, of interest at the rate of £4 per centum per annum. The debentures will be allotted to the highest Tenderers, but no Tender will be accepted at less than £100 for every £100 of the debentures. Should there be more than one Tender at the same price for the whole or any part of the loan, a pro rata distribution will be made.
