AUCKLAND PRODUCE MARKETS. t The markets have been more freely supplied in many lines during the week, the most ncliceable being that of new potatoes, which I Buffered a considerable drop. Grain and other lines of farm produce showed no change. | Egg*, . although less plentiful, show an ini clination to drop, the Southern demand being less keen, and local picklers being about filled up. Some very fine samples of farmers euro of bacon and hams have been offer-1 ing, and found good sale. Cheese- is unchanged in price, and new lots of farmers' have been more plentiful. New season's fruit 13 now finding its way into the the first lot of cherries realising 3s 6d per lb. Th» Taviuni, from Samoa and Tonga, landed a large quantity of fruit. Bananas met with a very r>or demand, but pines and oranges sold high. Poultry continues scarce and dear. Owing to Show day preventing the ordinary attendance of buyers, young pigs were not in demand.
