WIDENING WELLINGTON STREETS.
[by telegraph.— association.] Wellington, Thursday. The City Council to-night set up a committee to take into consideration the question of widening Adelaide Road. This is the outcome of the Act passed this session, empowering the City Council to take steps for widening and improving several thoroughfares of the city. The Mayor said if they carried out the widening of Adelaide Road satisfactorily, there was no limit to the amount of good work they could do in regard to street improving.
