We regret to have to announce to subscribers and others that we are unable to fulul ny further orders from this office for copies of the Auckland Weekly News Christmas Number, as owing to the phenomenal and unprecedented demand, the whole °, the large edition printed has been exhausted within a few weeks of publication. proprietors anticipated a very large demand for such a high-class publication, and printed what they deemed would be a sufficient supply to last up till Christmas, but the rapidity with which orders came in from the .' « in d were repeated again and again, exceeded the most sanguine anticipations. As extensive preparations are being made for the production, very shortly, of a superb Exhibition Number of the New Zealand Herald and Auckland Weekly News, combined, ;luch is taxing the machine department to its utmost capacity, no second edition of the Weekly News Christmas Number can be printed. The rapid sale of the News Christmas Number for 1898 may be regarded as a record m the history of colonial journalism. '
We desire to point out to advertisers that any space required by them in the Exhibition Number must be arranged for promptly, as the great bulk of the space available for this purpose has already been contracted for. An enormous edition is being printed, and will be circulated not only throughout New Zealand and Australia, but in many parts of Great Britain.
The publication is expected to be ready about the middle of December. The exact date will be duly announced,
