DISPUTE IN TEE 800 TTRADE.

TnE mediation of the Conciliation Board is once more required in a local trade dispute. This time it is the bootmakers who have differences with their masters. Mr. R. G. Thomas, the clerk of awards, yesteTday received notice of the matter. The document filed stated that the dispute was between the Auckland Operative Bootmakers Industrial Union and the masters, 30 of the latter being cited. In Septemboi', 1898, an industrial dispute between the New Zealand Federated Boot Trade Association of Workmen (ot which the Auckland union is a branch), and the New Zealand Boot Manufacturers Industrial Union of Employers was heard by fte i Court of Arbitration, and award was made. Sexton, a Foster, P. Blampid, J. Stevens. Mr. Thomas has convened the meeting for November 10 at ten a.m. The Board meets in the Supreme Court Buildings.
