THE WELLINGTON SHOOTING CASE.
A SCENE IN COURT. [bi telegram.— pbess association.] Wellington, Wednesday. The hearing of the charge of shooting Mrs. Di *, against the woman Mac William, produced a very unpleasant scene in the S.M. Court to-day. Accused continually interrupted witnesses, and, when Mrs. Diek appeared, loaded her with abuse. So persistent wa s she that Mr. Kenny at length consalted with Mr. Skerrett, who appeared for the Crown, as to whether it would not be possible to remove the woman and go on with the case in her absence. This course was not found feasible, and there was nothing for it nut to proceed. The watehhouse-keeper a id «'hen the prisoner was brought into the station she said Mrs. Dick had robbed her ot &000, that ehe meant to kill her, and was sorry she did not. Prisoner now denied this, "■a said she only intended to maim her. Ming was too good. She wanted to make -w. Dick suffer, as Mrs. Dick had made her suffer. Eventually accused was committed f or trial, punctuating the magistrate's formal charge with fierce interjections.
