The Union Company's steamer Omapere left on Saturday afternoon for East Coast ports ami Wellington. On Saturday tho three-masted schooner Ysabel was cleared at the Customs for the Friendly Islands with a quantity of timber and general cargo. She will sail to-day. This evening the Northern Company's steamer Clansman leaves for Russell, V.'hangaroa, and Mangonui.

THE CANADIAN MAIL. , Wellington, September 17.—The ij.m.b. Aorangi arrived at 6 a.m. to-day from Vancouver, Honolulu, and Suva. She brought the following passengers for Wellington:Miss Atkinson. Mesdam'es Joske. Atkinson, Woodthorpe. Messrs. Joske, Griffiths, Pringle (2), Goddards, Hall, Hicks, Camoron, Lee. For Auckland: Mr. and Mrs. Way and two children and Mr. McMichael. For Christchurch : Mesdames Beaiey, Leslie, Evans. Captain Snow. Messrs. Bealcy, Le3lio. Evans, and House. For Wellington: Rev. Woodthorpe. The Aorangi left for Sydney in the evening with the following passengers: Mrs. Svmons, Messrs. Ridgoon, Richard. Campbell, Pike. She lias 46 saloon and 27 steerage through passengers for Sydney. Her cargo for Sydney from America includes 4-3-30 cases onions.

THE WESTRALIA. The Iltiddort-I'arlter steamer Westralia. Captain Alfred H. Thorpe, arrived from Southern and East Coast ports at 9 a.m. yesterday. Mr. Sampson, the purser, reports: Tile Westralia left Dtmedin on the 13th inst.. calling at Lyttelton on the 14th, where a large general cargo was taken on board, the greater portion of which is for Auckland. Leaving Lyttelton the same evening, a call was made at Wellington on the 15th, Napier on the 16th. and Gisborne the 17th. and the wharf reached at 9 a.m. on the 18th. Fine weather and smooth seas generally marked the passage. Included in the steamer's cargo are transhipment cargoes of the following vessels:—Firth of Forth, from London; Duke af Devonshire, from London; and Wakatipu, from llobart and Melbourne The Westralia leaves for Sydney at 4 p.m. to-day.

THE KIA ORA. The Union Company's steamer Kia Ora, Captain E. Shaw, arrived from Napier, Gisborne, and coast ports on Saturday evening. Mr. J. A. Grirawood, the purser, reports that the steamer left Napier at 5 p.m. on the 12th inst.. and called at Gisborne and Tolago Bay on the 13th; Tokomaru, Waipiro, Tuparoa. Awanui, Te Araroa, and Hick's Bay on the 14lh; Whangaparoa and Orete Point on tho 16lh; leaving the hitter place at 4.30 p.m.. and arriving as above. From Napier to East Cape moderate westerly winds and calm sea were experienced; thence to Oreti strong westerly breeze, with increasing sea and heavy rain showers. From Oreti moderate westerly winds and showery.

THE ROYAL TAR. The barque Royal Tar, Captain A. Campbell, arrived from Newcastle yesterday mornins? with a cargo of coal for Mr. J. J. Craig. The master reports that tho barque sailed from .Newcastle on the 10th inst., and experienced variable winds, mostly from tho northward, and moderate weather throughout the passage. The Three Kings were passed on the 16th inst., and the North Cape on the same date. Cape Brett was passed on the 17th, the harbour being made yesterday. On discharge of her cargo of coal, the Royal Tar proceeds to tho Kaipara to load timber for Australia. PORT OF ONEHUNijA. ARRIVALS. The Union Company's 6teamcr Takapuna. Captain Grant, arrived in the Manukau on Saturday morning from Southern ports, hut owing to a low tide she unfortunately grounded itist before reaching the Horn, and was unable to reach the wharf. Her passenger? and mails were brought up to Onebungn by tue «.s. Gairloch. which arrived from New Plymouth at noon with passengers, one horse, and general cargo. The Northern Company's steamer Gairloch made three attempts to tow the Takapuna off the bank on Saturday and Sunday but without avail. A further attempt was made last night, and the steamer was moved from her position, but again took the bank, and stuck fast, and will have to remain until the next tide. BY TELEGRAPH.
