[Ny telegraph.— correspondent.] ' Paeroa, Wednesday. Dr. and Mrs. Wright, of Waihi, had a very unpleasant experience whilst proceeding to Waitokauri in a buggy. They were crossing the ford of tho Waitekauri River when tho current sivopt the horses off their feet, and tho pole-straps had to be cut to got tho buggy frco from the horses. For over an hour tho party remained in mid-stream, but they wore ultimately rescued from their dangerous position by Messrs. Chapel, Crean, and Johnston.
