THE DANGER OVER. [lIT TELEGRAPH,— ASSOCIATION.] Donkdis, Wednesday, As the tides are going off and the sea is going down, no further danger is at present anticipated from the inroads of the sea at Ocean Beach. A good deal of water is still lodged on tlio low-lying portions of St. Kilda, and ono or two families havo removed rather than wade to and from their houses.. In one case where there is a good deal of wator thero is typhoid fever in the house, and removal is out of the question. The Mayor of St. Hilda has received intimation from the Government that the district engineer has been ordered to take temporary stops for tlio protection of tlio works, and further action will bo taken when his report is received.
