ATHLETIC SPORTS.
CRICKET. A CRICKET match was played on Saturday afternoon at Devonport, between the United and North Shore Clubs. United going first to the wickets put on the fine score of 313 D H-v contributing 120 at which stage he retired, not out. North Shore responded with 82 for the loss of ax wickets, Hume (20) being top scorer. The scores aro under: United—First innings: D. Hay. retired °lt' Brown. 15; Sim., 1; Stemson, 4-1; Lees, 9; H.
