(BY TELEGRAPH,—FKKHS ASSOCIATION.] Christchoroh, Wednesday, A deputation .of delegates to the South Island Trotting Association waited upon the President this morning, having heard that the Canterbury Trotting Club had re-sub-mitted its programme with the request that it be passed. The deputation pointed out that the club had not complied with the ruling of the Association yet. Although they said they would abide by the ruling • they had not paid out on Bed of Stone, but were still locking up the money for a farther period to consider the protest put in on the clay of the race four months ago, and which was said to have been long ago abandoned. ; The deputation urged the President uot to pass the programme.' The President stated that he had now finally decided as to the course he should pursue. It is reported here that the Colonial Secretary considers the club should pay out at .once irrespective of the protest. t ;
