[FROM oor own correspondents.) Hamilton, Wednesday. There is a very large number of entries for the different events on the programme of the Hamilton Boxing Day sports. Mr. Thomas Hill has given £12 for the privilege of running a temperance booth. „ No publican's booth will be on the ground. This is the great athletic event of the district, and invariably attracts a very large attendance. The bicycle events will he run off on the new track, which has been made at considerable expense, and is now in first-class order. All the preparations for the regatta, which is to come off on the Hamilton Lake on the the 30th, are in a very forward state. The committee are sparing neither expense nor trouble to make the public who patronise the regatta as comfortable as possible.'. The borders of the lake afford a natural grandstand capable of comfortably accommodating many thousands of people; there is also ample timber on the ground to afford shelter from the midsummer sun, an advantage very seldom to be enjoyed at aquatic ■ events. Although the entries are not yet due, it is known that there will be numerous entries for each event. . The rights to booths have been disposed publicans' booth,'- for which Mr. W. Bright,' of the Hamilton Hotel, paid ' £9. There will. also be ; two refreshment and - temperance, booths,' run respectively, by \ Mr. Home and Mr. : Hill, they each having paid £5 for the privilege. v
