MR. BEN TILLET AND HIS PARTY.

10 THE EDITOR. Sir,—" Six hours work" (and 18 hours rest) so says tho above exponent of the Labour Party, as reported by your correspondent at Wellington. A pity he would not take up a largo block of land and start to furrn it on the above principle, and see how it would pan out at tho end of a year or two, or, indeed, any other industry he likes. Now what do such utterances lead any sane man to think ? Why, that the person making the remark is nothing more nor less than un agitator. Suoh utterances from one professing to be the leader of the Labour Party may well disgust any right-minded person, who would be only too glad to assist to redress any real grievance that required putting right. 'But six hours work, as Mr. Tillet goes for, is rattier highhanded.—! am, etc., H. Crispe.
