FIRES IN WELLINGTON.
'BY TELEGRAPH. —MESS ASSOCIATION.] Wellington, Sunday, Two fires occurred within lialf-an-hour of each other shortly before midnight last night. The first outbreak was in Routh's printing establishment in Feathorstonstreet, but the flames were subdued before much damage was done. The building, which is owned by Mr. Routh, and insured in the London, Liverpool, and Globe, and Victoria for £800, was damaged to the extent of £30, while'the stock, which is insured for £600 in the same offices, suffered to a like extent, i. Mr. rS. E. Wright's Bicyclo Depot adjoining was slightly damaged, but) the machines . are covered by a policy for £450 in the Manchester office., ■ . The second fire resulted in the almost total destruction of Cable's old flourmill opposite the Fire Brigade Station' in Manners-street, The building, which was owned by Mr. T. J. MacCarthy, was uninsured. Part of the building was} used by Olive ('rona McDonald and Company as a storeroom, but its contents^ were very small, and wore covered by a policy in the North Queensland Office. .. . i
