LOANS TO LOCAL BODIES.
[by TSLEOBAPH.— association.] Wellington, Friday. The Minister of Lands replying to a deputation of Eketahuna settlers introduced by Mr. Hogg, which asked that the period for the repayment of loans under the Loans to Local Bodies Act should be extended from 26 to 50 years, said the question was one for the Colonial Treasurer. It would be considered, and legislation probably introduced next session.
