London, June 25. The P. and 0. steamer Aden is a week overdue. The company believe her engines have broken down, and that the vessel is proceeding under sail. Two vessels have been despatched to search for her. Underwriters are paying 80 per cent, re-insurances on the cargo.

The Aden is a steel screw steamer, belonging to the P. and 0. Company, and was built by Messrs. R. Dixon and Co., at Middlesbrough, England, in 1892, her dimensions being as follow:—Length, 366 feet; breadth, 46*1 feet; depth, 27'6 feet; tonnage, 3925.
