ACCIDENT TO THE CO ROM AN DEL.

SiOBTtY after ono o'clook this morning the Northern Company's steamer Paeroa arrived in hsrbopr, having in tow the company , ! steamer Coromandel in a disabled condition.

The latter steamer left Coromandel for Auckland at half-past three p.m. yesterday, and about half-an-hour afterwards a disarrangement of the machinery occurred, which 'disabled the vessel. A course was shaped towards the Saadspit, and the Paeroa, bound from the Upper Thames, picked up the Coromandel and towed her into port, both steamers berthing at the wharf about a quarter past one a.m. Repairs to the Coromandel will be effected to-day, and her running in the trad* will nob be interfered with.
