FIRE AT WEREROA.
[n telegraph.—press association.] Wellington, Wednesday. Hamilton's store ab Wereroa, near Levin, was destroyed by fire at four this morning. The Wereroa Hotel, and a blacksmith's and painter's shops adjoining, were also burned. Nothing ab all was saved, The origin of the fire is unknown, Mr. Hamilton being absent at the time. The Wnodville Hotel is insured altogether for £1400; £10111) being in the Phoenix and the balance in the Commercial Uriion. Hamilton's store is reported to be insured for £400 in the London, Liverpool and Globo and #100 in ! the North Queensland. The other insurj auces are unknown.
