[from odb own corrksposdekts.) Hamilton, Thursday. The Doil and Apron Fair and concert in aid of St. Peter's Sunday-school realised £20, which ia considered very satisfactory. The money is to be spent in fencing in and improving the school grounds. Mr. T. Buxton, of the Royal Hotel, has taken over the Queen's Hotel, Thames, and will be leaving Hamilton in two or three weeks, to dtter into his new house. Mr. Buxton will be much missed in athletic circles in Hamilton, he having always taken a leading part in cricket, football, and sports generally. The following team has been chosen to play for Hamilton in the match against Ngaruawahia ou Saturday ;—Kirk, Hunt, Hope, Moore, Evans, Black, Speight, Beere, Cave, Hyde, Harwood, Ryan, Warrington, and Dodd.

About 10 of the Te Awamutu team journeyed to Ngaruawahia yesterday to play the adjourned match against the ftgaruawahia Club. The home team, however, were much too strong, eventually winning by 17 points to 3. The Rev. The audience was made up of the different denominations in this and adjacent districts, thus showing the spirit of Liberalism is abroad, especially in religious nutters, Father Keogh presided, and carried out the duties pertaining to the position in an highly satisfactory manner; in fact, he was a host in himself, and contributed two or three items during the evening. After the concert was over, the hall was cleared, and dancing was kept up with spirit till the small hours of the morning.-4 Own Correspondent.] OMAHA. The Rev. R. McKinney held religious service in the hall on Sunday morning. There was a fair congregation, who listened with great attention to an excellent discnurse. Twenty volumes of new books have just been presented to the public library by the late Orchestral Society. It wai decided to purchase books with the balacee in hand, and present them to the library, which has been done, and are a very welcome addition, now that the winter is coming on.
