Mr. Justice Manning said be would require evidence that) Mr. Williams was » relative or friend, and was acting entirely in the interest of Sir Roger Tichborne without auy ulterior motive. He declined at present to allow Cressweli to be eiaini ined, but would allow the examination of the Asylum books. The application meantime was postponed. It was mentioned that Cresswell bad cost the country ortr £800.
