De Blowitz, the Paris correspondent of the Times, says that Prince Hohenhole, the German Chancellor, is trying to arrange for Germany, France and Russia to morally support th« Boers in the event of British action against the Transvaal. If these powers are unable to restrain Britain in South Africa, an effort is to be made to embarrass her in Egypt. Pretoria, April 2G. The trial of Lieutenant Elofi for using insulting language respecting Queen Victoria has concluded, and resulted in the acquittal of the prisoner. London, April 26. The War Office requires 10,000 horsei for remounts. Fifteen officers hav< been sent to the Argentine to purchase them. Further large consignments of military stores and ammunition are being sent to Capetown. Eight hundred troops sailed for the Cape on Saturday, and three batteries of field artillery are under orders to embark. __
