PROPOSAL TO SEND MR. E. REYNOLDS HOME.

A commutes meeting of the Auckland Amateur Athletic and Cycle Club was held last night, when it was resolved to vote the sum of £50 towards sending Mr. E. Reynolds amateur champion cyclist of New Zealand to compete at the World's Amateur Champiouship Cycling Carnival, to be held at Glasgow in August next. The committee also decided to invite subscriptions for the same purpose from the general public. Letters were received from the Wangaiiui Club stating that it was proposed to send Mr. A. H. Holder to compete at the next English Amateur Athletic Championship Meeting and inviting the Auckland Club to assist the fund. It was decided to reply that the Auckland Cluo had voted £50 towards sending Fl v h -7° me, . but if the Uycliste , Alliancl and the N.Z.A.A.A. would join forces to send both men, the Auckland Club would fall in with any proposed scheme, but promptaction was imperative.

ASSOCIATION FOOTBALL. 1 he annul meeting of the United Association Football Club was held last night at the Occidental Hotel, Mr. T. Todd presided. The report read by the secretary, Mr. V. J. Heather, congratulated the club on winning the championship last year, that being the third consecutive occasion upon which it had proved victorious.
