THAMES LICENSING ELECTION

Thames, Thursday. All the returns in connection with yesterday's election for a Licensing Committee for the Thames electoral district are now to hand with the exception of tho ono from Cabbage Bay. This latter return, however, will be a comparatively small ono, and will probably tend to still further increase the load of the moderate ticket. The position at present ie ns follows:—Moderates : E. MoDonnell, 1227; W. H. Buroh, 1209:. J. J. West, 1101; H. T. Hornibrooke, 1190; A. R. H. Swindley, 1157. Prohibitionists: 0. Horn, 803; VV. Deeblo, 763; A. G. Catran. 742; J, Roberts, 728; A. H, Purnoil, 656. .
