SHOPS AND SHOP ASSISTANTS ACT.
BANK MANAGER FINED. [by TELEGRAPH.—PRESS ASSOCIATION.] Napier, Monday. Mr. Tornbdll, S.M., this morning delivered judgment in the case of the Inspector of Factories v. the Bank of New Zealand, for a breach of the Shops and Shpp Assistants Act. He said he was quite satisfied bhab the work being done was in connection with the business of the Bank, and imposed a fine of 5s in respecb of each employee, £2 5s in all. The charge of obstructing the Inspector in the discharge of his duty was withdrawn.
