THE NORTH SHORE AMATEUR ATHLETIC AND CYCLE CLUB.
The annual general meeting of the North Shore Amateur Athletic and Cycle Club was held iaat evening, at the Masonic Hotel, Devonport. Colonel Goring, the president, occupied the chair. There was a very good attendance ci members. The committee's annual report; stated : 'During the season two meetings were held, the receipts of which amounted to £176 lis Bd, and the expenditure £174 lis 9d, of which £10015s was paid away in prizes. The assets amounted to £20; liabilities, nil; and with cash in Bank £119s lid, a credit balance is left of £2119 a lid, which is very satisfactory. At future meetings all materials necessary for carrying out the sports being in hand, the expenses will only be those incidental to every meeting.' The Chairman congratulated the_ Club on its report and balance-sheet, which, on being put to the meeting, were adopted. An election of officers for the ensuing year resulted as follows President. Mr. W. Buchanan; vice-presidents, Colonel Goring, Messrs. B. Burgess and A. Harvey, senior ; committee, Messrs, J. Coleman, H. Goldwater, W. Wynyard, E. Binney, C. Waters, A. Harvey, jun., W. Walker, T. Burgess, and R. McCallum; treasurer, Mr. R. Logan; secretary,_ Mr. R. Wynyard; auditor, Mr. J. Peunalligan. The date of the Club's next meeting was discussed, and itfis expected to be held on December slh or 12th * — The Auckland Kennel Club notify that entries for the dog show, to be held on the 30th and 31st inst,, will be received by the secretary at the Club-room, Metropolitan Hotel, to-day (Friday) aud to-morrow (Saturday). Mr. Thornes will submit by auction this day a choice farm of 80 acres at East Tamaki. Particulars in our advertising columns. The thirteenth annual concert of Professor Carrollo and his pupils will take place in the Opera House on Monday, the 19th instant. About 150 pupils will take part, and au advancea club squad of lady pupils will be present aud take part in the performance. The second winter entertainment of St. Barnabas' Church—a tableaux and concertwill take place to-night at Waitc's Hall.
