In the Legislative Assembly, Mr. Ueid announced that ho intended to re>open the register for funded stocks, and issue 3 per cents at par. A million and a-half had been advanced out of the consolidated fund to loan account; all of which had been expended, and the new issue was intended tc recoup the amount. FEDERATION. Brisbane, October 15. The Premier moved that the considers* tion of the Council's Federation Message be postponed until October 27. In doing so he said that he wished to give time for calm deliberation on the question, and to push forward other legislation which was of mora importance than that of She Convention. After a lengthy discussion, during which much opposition was displayed, the motion was adopted. STATE ADVANCES ACT. Adelaide, October 15. The Legislative Assembly has resolved that the provisions of the State Advances Act should be extended so as to allow advances to be made to other producer? as well as to farmers. SOUTH AUSTRALIAN AGENCYGENERAL. Adelaide, October 15. The Government deny that Mr. Playford intouds to resign. HEAVS CLAIMS BY CREDITORS. Melboobne, October 15. The following proofs of debt were handed in at a meeting of creditors of Michael Fergusson's estate City of Melbourne Bank, £160,000; Bank of South Australia, £77.000; Eglington Company (Limited), £77,000; Fergusson Mitchell (Limited), £34,000; Australian Mutual Provident; £11,000.
