MEETING OF MILK SUPPLIERS
[BY TELEGRAPH.— oorrrspondents.] Kiuikihi, Saturday. A meeting of milk suppliers was held on Friday evening, in the building formerly used as a Wesleyan Chapel, to consider the schedule of prices offered by Messrs. Reynolds and Co. for the coming year's milk. Mr. C. Elmsley was in the chair, and made a lengthy speech explanatory of the loss' sustained last season by the low prices ruling for milk. After much discussion on the subject, ib was moved by Mr. Dinneen, seconded by Mr. Qualtrough, and carried unanimously, that suppliers accept not less than 2fd per gallon for 3'6 milk, beginning with September and ending with April. Messrs. Reynolds and pai'ty, pursuant to advertisement, mot the farmers next morning (to-day) at the factory, Mr. Hutchison in tho chair, and no settlement was arrived at, nor was there any resolution passed, the meetiug this time being wishful not to commit itself to a fixed price till the general meeting at Ohnupo ou Tuesday, when the question will, it is oxpected, be finally settled by the delegates. Messrs. Reynolds, Farley, and MaclSwan (Government dairy expert), will then he present.
