ST. PAUL'S.
TO THE EDITOR. Sir,— notico in your i3suc of the 28th re meeting of St, Paul's parishioners, that a gentleman, who I believe resides at Mount Roskill, out of the parish, was chosen parish oners' churchwarden for the ensuing year, Is this legal ?—I am, etc., Enquirer. fOur correspondent assumes that the gentleman elected as people's churchwarden resides outside the parish, and asks if such is legal, If 1 Enquirer's* assumption were anything more substantial than an assumption, and that the gentleman referred to in reality had his home outside the parish boundaries, it would be a breach of Cauou V., section 5, but as we are informed by the gentleman himself, to whom the reference is made, that he practically Uvea within the parish, although his parents reside at Mount Roskill, ana that ho occasionally visits them, which is surely not an offence, the complaint falls to the ground.— Ed], ___________
