Press Asiorisitton.-Elic trie Telegraph. -Copyright, HORRIBLE TRAGEDY IN SYDNEY, Sydney, April 27. A makried woman named Lore, residing in Newtown, was found brutally murdered. Her head had been battered with an axe. She led an unhappy married life. Her husband is mining.

Ab the inquest the evidence disclosed the facb that the deceasod had been shot through the bead prior to being struck with an axe. This afternoon the husband was discovered biding in a, disused chimney of a brickwork a short distance from the scene' of the murder. He was covered with blood, and had a bnllet wound behind his ear. A loaded revolver was found in hia pocket, and he stated he had attempted to commit suicide. Although weak from loss of blood and want of food, hia condition ia nob considered dangerous.

RICH GOLD IN THE GREAT BOULDER MINE.

Perth, April 27, The richest gold ever discovered in the Great Boulder mine has been broken into in a lode at the 200-feeb level. Massive

gold pieces as large as hen's eggs occur in

the lode, which in between 15 and 16 feet wide at the point.
