Sydney, April 25. , Tek cycling carnival for Megion and Lewis benefit with the object of obtaining funds to aer.d them to compete in England and America took place today. There was a large crowd and it is estimated that the net proceeds amount to over £300. Open Handicap: MoCombe 30yds, 1) Hardy 35yds, 2; Parsons 10yds. 3. Lewis, Mogson, and Martin were among the starters. Won by a length and α-quarter; time, lm. 5 3-ss. Lewis Benefit Handicap: Ames 290 yds, 1; Leigh, 210 yds; Shepherd, 290 yds; Shaw, 330 yds. A dead heat for second place. Won by two lengths; time, 4m. 625. Mile Scratch: Megson, 1; Porta, 2; Payne, 3. Lewi*, Martin, and Panooa were among the starters. A splendid finish, won by half machine; time, 2m. 59Je. Megson Handicap : Payne 20yds, 1; Staple ton 140 yds, 2; Porta 20yds, 3. Body and Megson were among the starters. Won by a length; time, 2m. 15 4-ss. Lap Dash: Martin, 1; Parsons, 2; Megiion, 3. The paoe was a oraoker. Won by a length; time, 40 3-ss. Martin was suffering from an injury to his leg received in Adelaide. . .
