Herr Rise, the new German Consul, has arrived. He is the offiolai who ' was appointed to investigate and deal with charges made against the German officials in the Cameioons some time ago. —
Herr Schmidt, President Of the Apia Municipal Council, returns to Germany in .September next. It is rumoured that Capt. Branded, who held office here under the Taraaaesu Government in 1887 >* to bo his euoceeaor.
Robert Percy Chatfield, formerly of Auckland, auctioneer and commission Agent), haa been adjudicated bankrupt on hie own petition.
