The secretary of the Miners' Association of tho southern districts has issued a circular suggesting that each miner should contribute Gd to the Brunnerton fund. The miners are responding to tho call. Brisbane, April 7. The meeting failed to raise funds for the Brnnnerton sufferers has been adjourned until Monday next. [FROM our own CORRESPONDENT.] Hamilton, Tuesday. Tho directors of the Taupiri Extended Coal Company have given £25 to the Brunnerton Relief fund. [«Y TKMCORAPIT.—-OWN CORRESPONDENT.] Thames, Tuesday. The members of the Baptist and Congregational Church contributed £4 at the Communion Service, on Sunday morning last, in aid of the Brunncr disaster Relief Fund. Mr. A. H. Wliitehouse, of Auckland, is to give a phonographic and vocal entertainment in the Academy of Music, next Tuesday, in aid of the same fund, \ [by telegraph.—press association.] Hawera, Tuesday. At a public meeting, a resolution of sympathy was passed re the Bruuner disaster, and a strong committee was appointed to canvass for funds, Over £20 was subscribed in the room. Napier, Tuesday. Up to date £268 3s have been collected for tho Brnnner fund. A number of lists have yet to come in, including over 100 sent to stations throughout Hawke's Bay. A meeting to-night decided to hold a huge demonstration and sports on the 29th instant in aid of the funds. _ The fire brigade has voted £10 10s out of its funds to the relief fund.
