TEMPERANCE MOVEMENT.

[BY TELEGRAPH.—PRESS ASSOCIATION.J Dunedin, Monday. At the Prohibition Convention to-day, Mr. A. C. Begg introduced the question of a winter campaign. He held it to bo the duty of the Temperance patty to do all they could to educate the people, for that was the foundation of all tomperanco work. After discussing the question, the Convention resolved, "That during tho winter months a vigorous effort be made to thoroughly work every district by means of public meetings in every schoolhouse and hall throughout, the country, and that tho executive be instructed that while not neglecting other districts they should devote special attention to those districts in which at present there is no definite temperance organisation;" also, "That the circulation of leaflets and other appropriate literature be carried on so far as funds permit." At the Sunday services held in tho Garrison Hall yesterday, addresses were delivered by Mrs. Schnackenberg (president of the Now Zealand Women's Christian Tetnperanco Union), Mi.-s Maguinness, of Sydenham, Miss Kirk, of Wellington, and others. At a meeting of delegates of the Women's Christian Temperance Union, it was decided to continue the publication of tho White Ribbon newspaper, and Mrs. Shoppard, Christchurch, was appointed editor, and Mrs. Smith, Christchurch, associato editor,
