EASTER MONDAY.

To-day will bo a general holiday, and as the weather is favourable, the opportunity of an outing will bo almost universally availed of by tho citizens. There area large number of excursions notified, principally water, bub the feature of tho day will be tho races at Ellorslie. MARINE EXCURSIONS. There is a wide field to choose from for those who are desirous of spending the holiday on a sea trip. Tho Northern Company's steamer Clansman loaves for the Thames at 7 a.m., leaving that plgce at 11 p.m. on tho return trip. The Wellington leaves for Coromandel at S a.m., leaving on tho return trip at 9 p.m. The Coromandel leaves for Ruth's Island at 9,30 am, Tho Rose Casey leaves for VVaiwera and Mahurangi Heads at 10 a.m. Tho Devonport Ferry Company's steamer Boatrice leaves for Motutapu at 9.30 a.m.; tho Eagle will make several trips to Lake Takapuna, commencing at 10 a.m., the last boat leaving tho Lake at 5.30 p.m.; tho Victoria will run to St. Heliers ay, commencing at 9.30 a.m., tho last boat leaving the Bay at 5 p.m. sharp. Steamers will leavo the Northcote Ferry Tee for Pine Island during the day, the first boat leaving at 10 a.m.
